Soundscapes of Western Thrace through the Politics of Listening is an ongoing artistic PhD research project focused on the sonic environment of the Greek borderland in Western Thrace, bordering Turkey and Bulgaria. The research utilizes various methods of listening and field recording to investigate the political and social structures that shape the sonic environment of these porous territories.
In this curated selection of durational listening for RADIO CASo, we tune into the night perspectives of the border. We move from the social signals of twilight into the deep silence of the night.
